If you're reading this then you're probably a fan of Creed Aventus, we all are, but let's be real, £300 for a single bottle is a little bit steep for most wallets. So, what are we looking for in a good Creed Aventus Clone, well firstly we need it to smell the part, that means that it needs to hit the right scent balance, otherwise it's not creed aventus. After that we're expecting it to be a genuine eau de parfum, that means that it should be stronger than a cologne or eau de toilette, meaning it should last for at least 8 hours. The creed smell has become something of an icon and perhaps something of a mark of status, so it wouldn't do for it to wear off half way through the evening and some of the lesser aventus clones will do just that. The good news is we've found three options that are honestly as good as the original meaning you can wear creed aventus, without breaking the bank.
Top Notes – Blackcurrant, Italian Bergamot, French apples, Pineapple Middle Notes – Rose, Dry birch, Moroccan jasmine, Patchouli Base Notes – Musk, Oak moss, Ambergris, Vanilla
Want to know more about creed aventus?
A legitimate spray of creed aventus should last for at least 8 hours, usually all night or all day, although it obviously depends where you put it, your skin type, etc. But in general as an eau de parfum, you'd expect it to last this long. Most creed aventus clones will not last this long.
The long and short of it is that Creed Aventus is made in a relatively small perfume house in France. They stick to traditional methods. And whilst it's good that they've avoided licencing the name out to low tier manufacturing, that has meant that the fragrance can be reproduced in other high end, high fidelity facilities at a fraction of the cost.
Fake aventus is generally bad, as are most fakes, in short don't buy a creed aventus clone if it comes in a bottle that actually looks like a creed aventus bottle.
Aside from the fact that copycat fragrances option comes in at one sixth of the price of creed aventus and the bottle doesn't look quite as good, nobody is likely to ever tell the difference between this and the creed signature scent. It hits the same notes, the staying power is arguably better and we couldn't recommend it highly enough. It hits the scent profile perfectly, far better than any other aventus clone we've tried. And we've tried a lot, creed's expensive after all. Keep in mind copycat don't do fake creed aventus, there is a difference, anything marketed as fake aventus is generally very poor quality as it's operating illegally. An inspired by aventus clone is not the same thing "wink wink". It may smell identical, matching the citrus top, woody middles, and so on, but as they're not infringing copyright they're able to produce it in high end facilities.
By far the very best Creed Aventus clone that we've come across is copycat fragrances eau de parfum "inspired by aventus" the naming is perhaps a bit on the nose, and honestly we're almost surpirsed that they got away with it. But, long and short is, it smells like creed aventus, it lasts as long as creed, honestly nobody is going to know you're not wearing creed. We gave it copycat's executive aventus clone 5* for closeness to the original and staying power, the customer satisfaction scored incredibly high and honestly we couldn't find anything to fault with this. The notes all high right, whether it be the begamot and pinapple sweet tops down to the musky base, this really is an all round great product.
CHECK INSPIRED BY CREED DEALS
Whilst this isn't going to be quite the same as a mens creed aventus clone, the copycat guys nailed the eau de parfum again. Getting the apple and blackcurrant overtones just right, this lovely fragrance lasts as long as the original and smells no different after it mixes with the skin. Yes you don't get the same attractive bottle, but if you're looking for a refill then nobody is going to know. And we won't tell if you don't. In terms of staying power, it holds up against the best, with a great scent profile to boot. Customer satisfaction was high, and we can't find fault with the price point. Again, top marks on all fronts.
It's not just like creed aventus, it functionally is, we're pretty sure that they hit every aventus note perfectly and we've had no issues with it's longevity. Again it comes highly recommended.
Not quite a creed aventus clone it is clearly taking some notes from the iconic fragrance. Montblanc are of course a well known mens brand in their own right. Mostly known for pens and watches. This is a great fragrance, a bit more citrusy and a tiny bit more velvet, think of it as creed with a hint of sauvage. The other slight difference is it's a little bit less on the woody side, and Mont Blanc is significantly cheaper than it's creed counterpart, but it's not like they're a brand to be sniffed at, so it's nothing to hide from the bathroom counter. The longevity is great and it can be smelled from a good distance, we generally get a lot of compliments wearing this as an alternative to aventus. So, if you want something that isn't quite creed, ie you want to be a little bit different, then this is the way to go when picking a creed aventus alternative.
Coming in at under £40 this one is a bargain, we noticed that the scent lasted about 4 hours, a little bit less than what a lot of other creed aventus clone reviews claimed that it did, but still pretty good. Whilst this doesn’t directly claim to be an aventus copy, it’s quite obvious that it is. People who know fragrances will be able to tell this isn’t aventus, they’ll also be able to tell that it’s not distinct enough to be it’s own scent either. It’s not like the copycat executive version, so we wouldn’t recommend trying to pass this off as the original, but if you’re looking for the cheapest decent option and you just like the overall creed smell then Supremacy Silver is a good option, the bottle is quite pleasingly styled as well, so it will look nice in the bathroom.
Zara’s Vibrant Leather isn’t up to the same quality of Creed, CopyCat or Mont Blanc, but then that’s not what we expect from a Zara Aventus Clone. What we expect really is something for younger customers on a budget to be able to grab, wear on a night out, whilst smelling somewhat similar to the fashionable fragrances of the moment. And that’s what Zara have made here. It lacks the deeper more subtle notes that you’d expect from creed, less of the woods, ambergris, bergamot and boosts the citrus scents preferred by a younger crowd. It doesn’t last nearly as long as the other competitors on this list though, it is a bit of a 2-3 hour max and you will be wanting another spray of something before finishing a night out, but for a cheap option Zara Vibrant Leather isn’t a terrible creed aventus dupe.
